Keeping spam to a minimum

Quite often our support team sees customers that don’t take advantage of the spam filtering options offered with their hosting account. Our shared, reseller, and VPS plans all offer spam filtering capability. In addition, our shared and reseller plans include virus filtering capability. In all cases, these features can be configured from within your account control panel.

For shared hosting accounts (and customers of resellers), simply click on the “E-mail” icon in your control panel. Then either look for AntiSpam, or AntiVirus, and turn it on for all of your addresses. You can fine tune both of those features in several ways, please consult and for details.

For our VPS customers, this depends on if you have a Linux or Windows VPS. With a Linux VPS, you’ll need to install the Application, SpamAssassin. Once installed, it’ll need to be enabled from Mail Management > Spam Assassin. If you have a Windows VPS, then you’ll need Plesk and Plesk PowerPack installed. Once installed, you’ll have AntiSpam, and AntiVirus capability.

If you have any questions on any of these features, please contact our support team by opening a ticket from your account control panel.
