How to upgrade your account to use PHP 5.3/5.4

This article explains how to switch PHP version on your Fluid Hosting Linux or Windows shared hosting account. Please carefully read the details below.

Are you hosted on Linux account?
If you are hosted on a Linux account with one of our shared hosting packages, the best way to activate the new PHP version is to complete 7 easy steps as shown below:

Step 1. Login to your hosting Control panel and go to “FTP/User Account” –> “Webshell4″ and click on icon, to launch the File Manager application.

Step 2. Find the domain where you’d like to active the new PHP version and open it’s folder.

Step 3. Go to “cgi-bin” folder and click on the “File” on top of the File Manager menu to create a new file.

[Scheduled] Mail1 Migration

August 16th, 2013

On Tuesday, the 20th August 2013 we’ll be migrating mail1. The migration will cause less than 5 minutes of downtime. No mail will be lost during the move. However, you may notice that some emails will disappear for a brief period of time while we resync mail data.

Update 1: We’re switching over to the new server.

Update 2: We’re switching back, due to some complications.

We shall be updating our Windows servers next week.

The approximate time when servers will be updated is listed below:

During that time, IIS will be restarted several times. You may also see the servers being rebooted to apply/complete the updates.

Scheduled Maintenance Node Reboot

The following notice was sent to customers affected by the VPS hardware node reboot.

This email is to notify you of the upcoming scheduled maintenance on some of our VPS hardware nodes. You receive this email because you will be affected by this schedule maintenance. The maintenance will be scheduled as follows:

Day/Date: Tuesday, June 25th, 2013
Time: 11:00 PM – 1:00 AM Eastern Time (GMT -04:00).

We will be performing a reboot of the VPS node hosting your account.

New Botnet Targeting WordPress

A new botnet is targeting WordPress installations all over the world. This botnet is working to brute-force attack WordPress admin login details, so they can exploit sites.
